the OPA
Times are changing and what was once termed
as a support role is fast emerging as a Career; The Office Professional
is emerging as one of the most significant and influential corporate
positions in businesses across Australia.
Office Professionals are growing their
responsibilities and influence daily, through acquiring greater
control over financial functions, recruiting, facilities management,
large scale procurement, cost control, report and presentation
writing along with developing skills in project management,
leadership, and the list goes on.
To respond and grow with these changes,
Office Professionals Australia (OPA) has been developed, and
its mission is:
‘To
become the “one stop shop” for Office Professionals throughout
Australia seeking to build their knowledge, skills, voice in the
organisation, peer relationships and overall career progression
as an Office Professional.’
The OPA is designed to facilitate the sharing
of useful information and ideas, develop careers, foster networking
with peers and to build the voice of all Executive PAs,
Secretaries, Administration Assistants, PAs, EAs
and all Office Professionals in the workplace.
